I am beyond happy to blog about my latest completed project, the Mermaid Tears Purse. The pattern is free on the Bernat website and they also offer a video tutorial. Since I was making the purse in one color instead of three like it suggests I decided to skip adding the flower piece. Overall, I am happy with the finished product although I do notice a few imperfections.
When I saw a friend the other day the very first thing she said to me was "" I love your purse! Did you make that?". Always nice to get a compliment and now she wants me to make her one. Very excited that there are still people out there that appreciate handmade goods.
Besides joining in on the link parties listed below I'm also linking up with Tamis Amis
Nice work!
ReplyDeleteYou have made a pretty purse!
ReplyDeleteIt really is a lovely purse, well done! Did you line it?
ReplyDeleteI have not lined it yet but I plan to even though the pattern does not mention lining it.
DeleteOh wow - it's very pretty. I suspect you'll be getting lots of compliments on your new purse. :)
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely, the pattern looks quite difficult too. I would love to make something like this but it's the lining which puts me off. :)
ReplyDeleteI just recently lined a purse and it wasn't as hard as I thought although it was time consuming. I haven't lined this purse yet but plan on eventually getting around to it.
DeleteI've seen that pattern before, and I think I like it best the way you've done it - in one colour.
ReplyDeleteAwesome purse!
It's definitely nice to get compliments like that. :-)
ReplyDeleteI like your purse. It looks "vintage" to me. :-)
I LOVE it too! I would be very please if I were you. I have yarn to knit myself a purse but keep putting it at the bottom of my queue. One of these days...
ReplyDeleteYours is stunning!
Katie your purse turned out wonderful! I just might try that myself even though I am really not one to a small purse. You should see my big leather bag I just bought. I could be one of my projects in it too!!!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work!
Other than a few clutches, this is probably the smallest purse I have. I love big purses although I put too much stuff in them and then it takes me forever to find what I'm looking for. At least I won't have that problem with this bag.
DeleteIt's lovely and I see no imperfections. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bag!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking bag!
